What Makes A Relationship Turn Sour?

Oh, those were heady days when you first fell in love!

If you're over 30 you know they don't last, but you don't expect them to turn sour.

Harry, an advertising executive, married Leah, a fashion model. They managed their hectic schedules to have luxurious weekends together and rarely saw each other during the week.

Usually this arrangement keeps the honeymoon alive for years. But Leah didn't trust Harry. She checked his computer regularly and hired a private detective to shadow him.

Innocent of infidelity and ignorant of Leah's distrust, Harry, in his naturally expansive way dropped clues left and right. A friendly note to a colleague sounded like a love-letter to Leah. Delivering flowers for a friend to his sick mother looked like a tryst to the detective.

If Leah had expressed her distrust to Harry when it first crossed her mind, they could have resolved it gently. Instead, she misperceived the clues and turned their marriage completely sour.

It takes self-respect to admit to distrust.

Without self-respect on both sides, every relationship turns sour. The first thing to do, therefore, to keep it sweet, is change self concept. To do that:

1. Admit that there is really nothing wrong with you.

2. Get your energy flowing with that truth using EFT.
